TYPES OF E-COMMERCE
Did you know that E-Commerce, which has become a part of our lives especially after the pandemic process, has many different areas?
E-Commerce appears in many different areas in our daily lives, whether we are aware of it or not. When we want to evaluate the situation of e-commerce in these different sectors with different methods, we first need a classification.
E-commerce is classified in two basic ways. This method is evaluated in terms of the parties that come across through E-Commerce and classification is made.
A) E-Commerce by the Parties:
B) E-Commerce in Terms of Products and Services Offered by Businesses
E-Commerce by the Parties:
When looking at E-Commerce according to its parties, it is divided into 5 groups;
1)B2B (Business to Business):
It is an E-Commerce model made from company to company.
The B2B E-Commerce model covers a wide range of businesses such as wholesalers, raw material producers and service providers that sell to companies.
2) B2C (Business to Consumer):
It is a business-to-consumer E-Commerce model. The most well-known E-Commerce model today is B2C.
3)B2G (Business to Government):
It is an E-Commerce model made from business to government. The online participation of companies in the tender opened by the government and the sale of goods and services is called B2G.
4)C2C (Consumer to Consumer):
It is a type of E-Commerce made from consumer to consumer. An example of this type of e-commerce is the shopping that consumers meet through a platform, for example, second-hand purchase and sale.
5)G2B (Government to Business):
It is an e-commerce model from government to business. Project drafts and legal files are examples of this E-Commerce type.
E-Commerce in Terms of Products and Services Offered by Businesses
When we evaluate E-Commerce by evaluating the products and services offered by businesses, we can examine it under 2 headings.
The type of E-Commerce where the payment and delivery is made online, where there is no physical store where online sales are made, is called the direct E-Commerce type. Downloaded game applications are an example of this E-Commerce type.
2) Indirect E-Commerce:
E-Commerce is the largest volume today. The stages of purchasing a product on the online site of the enterprise for a fee, shipping the product to you by the company selling the product, and delivering this product via couriers are within the scope of indirect E-Commerce.
